Thank you for your thoughts! I'm in the process of writing my next column for BIV in March, entitled Businesses Dirty Little Secret, focusing on the role of candour and transparency. One of the key behaviours is making mistake and admitting them. A proven way to increase collaboration, creativity, and innovation: fail our way through to success (also called prototyping!).

Love the concept of learning from mistakes and making that a core part of the culture. Imagine if that was more prevalent in organizations. We'd solve a lot more problems and stop destructive behaviours that develop when people feel they have to be right at all costs.

Love this Mike! Although challenging right now with the schedule I have going on, I'm still trying to create at least 30-45mins of 'white space' right before bed. This is time when I'm not allowed to work on projects or read textbooks but can either do nothing or engage in any activity that is completely disconnected from school. Makes a huge difference!

So often, when I talk to folks in leadership who want to change culture - they are indeed orientaged to initiating change in others. In effect - they separate themselves from the culture in order to "judge it". What they forget is the opportunity to lead from the inside - out; to model the desired culture authentically and with congruence by being great at self leadership first. Trust is built by the congruence that comes from doing THAT.

Do THAT & the culture will shift.

Really great set of ideas and a really useful template. So much is said about employee engagement, but this tends to be for people lower down the chain than upper management. This is the kind of meeting structure that will engage those higher up the chain.

Thanks for this, tweeted.
